About the event

Does the title "The Racism of People Who Love You" make you groan or sigh, because you just thought of 1, 2 or 12 examples of ways that people who care about you have been problematic? You're not alone!

Come to LUNAR Book Club's virtual Q&A with Samira Mehta, author of "The Racism of People Who Love You: Essays in Mixed-Race Belonging". She will discuss how she's grappled with racial micro and macroaggressions from her friends and family, and answer your questions.

This event is open to all Jews of Color and is free of charge. Please let the organizers (Maya and Daniel) know if there are ways we can make this virtual meeting more accessible to you. If you have read the book, please submit questions for Samira Mehta in advance to Daniel Citron: dcitron@gmail.com. We will include time for additional questions during the event.
