About the event

Lost in Liminality: Asian and Jewish in America will explore the transitional space Asian American Jews often find themselves in growing up in America. The talk will weave together the concepts of liminality, the role Asians and Jews play in America, terror management theory, American individualism, an updated interpretation of the Odysseus-complex, and America as a land of fantasy. There will be space for open discussion during the talk and a Q&A at the end.
