Celebrate the Jewish New Year with a joyful Asian Jewish adventure!

First, we'll gather at a festive backyard in Silverlake where we'll enjoy delicious Taiwanese food from acclaimed restaurant Pine & Crane as well as mooncakes to honor the upcoming Mid-Autumn Festival, a major holiday in many Asian cultures. We'll sing songs together and connect in deeper ways as we reflect on how, like the symbolic swan, we'd like to transform ourselves in the coming year. Then we're off to Echo Park, where we'll engage in the Jewish ritual of tashlich, where we cast our mistakes from the past year into the lake in the form of rice paper (an Asian Jewish twist). Then LUNAR will pay for everyone to ride the Swan Boats!!!  This fun day offers a chance to connect with the community and start a new year of LUNAR get-togethers and celebrations.
