Pan Pacific Park, 7600 Beverly Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90036, USA
About the event
Celebrate the Festival of Lights with the LUNAR Collective’s Asian Jewish Hanukkah Celebration. In the spirit of “Jewish Christmas,” we’ll be providing a Chinese food lunch, Hanukkah traditions (including chocolate gelt and candle lighting), and a celebration of identity and culture. Asian Jews and plus ones of any identity are welcome to join us! This experience is part of the Infinite Light citywide Hanukkah festival powered by NuRoots, an initiative of The Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles.
When: Mon, Dec 26 at 1pm PST
Where: Pan Pacific Park in Los Angeles
This event is created to hold space for Asian American Jews. We define Asian American Jews as folks who identify as both Asian American and Jewish - this can include mixed-race folks, transracial adoptees, Asian Jews by Choice, and more. We fully welcome and include those in the process of converting to Judaism. Therefore, priority will be given to Asian American Jews and their loved ones. If you either are, or would like to bring a plus one of a different identity, please let us know in your RSVP form.
Thank you to our Los Angeles organizers David Chiu, Vanessa Bloom, and Maetal Gerson, to NuRoots for supporting this event as part of Infinite Light, and to our ongoing partners Jews of Color Initiative, Women of Reform Judaism, Jewish Liberation Fund, and Rise Up Project!
