About the event
Let Your Light Shine: an Asian Jewish Hanukkah will be a safe space for Asian American Jews to come together and celebrate Hanukkah on Shabbat. Throughout the evening, our community will enjoy latkes with sauces from their own Asian cultures, celebrate Hanukkah with the LUNAR nigun, and speak about various ways that we, as Asian Jews let our light shine in the face of increasing antisemitism and anti-Asian Hate. In this moment, it is so important for us to share joy over Jewish ritual, holiday food, laughs and more. Please join us!

Who's invited?
This event is open to Asian American Jews and their +1 guests. We define Asian American Jews as folks who identify as both Jewish (whether by heritage, religion, or culture) and Asian American. This can include mixed-race folks, transracial adoptees, Asian Jews by Choice, and more. We fully welcome those in the process of converting to Judaism.
Covid protocols
Please take a covid test within 2 days of attending. Rapid tests will also be available at the door. Please do not attend if you are feeling any cold/flu symptoms.
