About the event
For many Asian cultures, Lunar New Year celebration is a time to come together, celebrate, and honor one's ancestors. Join the LUNAR Collective, a national organization by and for Asian Jews, and Temple Isaiah Young Professionals, a social, spiritual & educational initiative of Temple Isaiah of Los Angeles designed for folks in their 20s & 30s to connect, in a brunch celebrating Lunar New Year 2024! We will serve a sampling of food from four different Asian restaurants. We also invite you to bring a potluck dish to add to the cultural diversity of our table, but it is not required. As an activity, we will go around sharing an "ancestor" who helped shape us (could be a direct family member or a mentor outside one's family).
