About the event
Did you know that May is both Jewish American and Asian American Heritage Month? On Sunday, May 4th, the LUNAR Collective and PJ Library will host a joint event to celebrate Double Heritage Month. Join us for storytelling, reflection, and conversation, as we’ll watch selections from "LUNAR: the Jewish-Asian Film Project” and the PBS Exploring Hate episode "A Seat at the Table" and participate in facilitated small group discussion. In a second room, PJ Library Parent Connector Reeba Rosagaron and an additional volunteer will keep the kids busy with activities, games, and snacks.
There will be opportunities for affinity-based and whole community discussions sharing our own experiences, the future of Asian-Jewish collaboration, and ways to deepen our connections and collective work. All are welcome; come ready to listen, share, and be in community!
